My Wife Keeps Locking the Bedroom Door
Every night at exactly 2:13 a.m., Thomas's wife, Charlotte, woke up and locked their bedroom door from the inside. When he asked her why, she always gave the same answer: “You sleepwalk.” Thomas thought it was strange but ignored it until one night he stayed awake. At 2:13, Charlotte sat up without opening her eyes, walked to the bedroom door, locked it, and whispered, “He'll be here soon.” Thomas quietly asked, “Who?” Charlotte turned toward him, still asleep, and said, “Yourself.” Then someone knocked on the bedroom door. Three times. Thomas's heart stopped. “Charlotte,” he whispered, “there's someone outside.” She finally opened her eyes. Her face went pale. “Don't open it.” The knocking continued. Then a man's voice came through the door. It sounded exactly like Thomas. “Charlotte, open the door. It's me.” Thomas grabbed his wife's hand. “I'm right here.” Charlotte began shaking. “I know.” Then she looked at him and whispered, “That's why I'm afraid.”
