The Doorbell Camera

Every night at 2:26 a.m., someone rang the doorbell at Ethan and Olivia's house.

But whenever they checked the camera, nobody was there.

One night, Ethan stayed awake and watched the screen.

At 2:26, the doorbell rang.

The camera showed their front garden.

Empty.

Then Olivia whispered from upstairs,

“Ethan… someone is at the door.”

He looked at her.

“How do you know?”

She pointed toward the hallway.

“Because I can see him.”

Ethan checked the camera again.

This time, the screen showed him standing outside the front door.

He was staring directly into the camera.

Ethan slowly turned toward the real front door.

Someone knocked.

Three times.

Then his own voice came from outside.

“Olivia, don't let me in.”
