The Girl in the Window
Every night at exactly 3:00 AM, Daniel saw a girl standing in the window of an abandoned house across the street.
The house had been empty for twenty years.
One night, Daniel looked at her through binoculars.
Her face was pale.
Her eyes were completely black.
Then she suddenly disappeared.
Tap.
Daniel turned toward his bedroom window.
A tiny handprint had appeared on the inside of the glass.
The next morning, Daniel searched for the house and discovered an old newspaper article.
Twenty years ago, a ten-year-old girl named Emily had disappeared from that exact house.
Her body was never found.
That night, Daniel stayed awake.
At exactly 3:00 AM, his phone rang.
UNKNOWN CALLER.
He answered.
A little girl's voice whispered:
"Daniel... you're in my house."
He looked across the street.
Emily was standing in the window.
But this time, she wasn't looking at him.
She was pointing toward his bedroom.
Daniel slowly turned around.
Nothing.
Then he heard a whisper from underneath his bed:
"Don't look behind you."
Daniel froze.
Because the voice...
wasn't coming from behind him.
It was coming from under the bed.
And then...
the bedroom door slowly opened.
