I was having dinner alone when a woman at the next table suddenly asked me, “Are you married?” I laughed and said no. She smiled and went back to her phone. A few minutes later, she left without finishing her food. When the waiter cleared her table, he accidentally dropped her phone. The screen lit up. There was a photograph of me sitting at my table. I assumed she'd taken it as a joke, but when I looked closer, there were dozens of photographs of me—outside my workplace, entering my apartment building, even walking into the restaurant that night. I called the police. They checked the restaurant cameras. The woman had entered twenty minutes before I arrived. She hadn't spoken to anyone. She had simply been sitting there, waiting for me.
